Bogishamol is a foothill ridge 12 km southeast of Andijan at 617 m. Babur is said to have laid out his "Bagh-i Shamol" garden here; today the hill has a memorial terrace and a view over the city and the valley. A level path runs along the crest for an hour or two, and the foothills are green in spring.
