Kelimchak is a 3,708 m pass at the head of the Ertashsay basin, with the Kelimchak and Tuypana lakes in view from the top. From a 2,400 m camp it is 11 km and 1,280 m of gain, about nine hours. This is the northern side of the Karakush massif — snow lingers into late July.
