Shohimardon is a mountain village 55 km south of Fergana at 1,550 m, where the Oqsuv and Ko'ksuv streams merge into the Shohimardonsoy. A cable car runs up to Qurbonko'l lake above the village. The village is an Uzbek exclave — the road crosses Kyrgyz territory, so carry a passport and follow the border rules.
