Sudochye is a system of lakes in the western Amu Darya delta, once a bay of the Aral Sea. Today they are separate shallow waters with reeds, salt flats and many birds — geese, flamingos and pelicans gather in spring and autumn. There is no road; you get there only by 4×4 with a local guide.
